Ignite His Glory, Inc. is a Catholic nonprofit in Corpus Christi, Texas, serving families of every faith and background. We provide clothing, confidence, health and Christ-like encouragement — restoring dignity through compassion, faith and opportunity.
Our vision: a community where every child and adult experiences dignity, confidence and the transformative love of Christ through mentorship, service and the body of Christ working together.
What we run today: two things, on purpose. Ignite Fit, our free ten-week children’s health season, and Dress for Dignity, our clothing closet. Youth athletics and mentorship, a food pantry and teaching kitchen, family support nights and a permanent facility — The Ignite Center — are where we are going, and we will add them when we can run them well rather than announce them early.

Ignite His Glory is Catholic in identity and formation. Our work is simply the corporal works of mercy carried out in Corpus Christi — feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger — and it is shaped by the Church’s teaching that every human person carries a God-given dignity that no circumstance can cancel.
Works of mercy, not programs alone
Every season includes one corporal work of mercy performed together, so children learn that faith is something you do with your hands.
Prayer and the sacraments
Sessions open and close in prayer. Families are invited — never required — to Mass, Adoration and parish life, and we point them to their own pastors when they have one.
Built with parishes
We partner with parishes, Catholic schools and diocesan ministries across the Coastal Bend for space, volunteers, mentors and referrals.
Catholic social teaching
Human dignity, the preferential option for the poor, solidarity and subsidiarity are not slogans here — they decide who we serve first and how.
Everyone is welcome
You do not have to be Catholic, Christian or religious at all to receive help, register a child, volunteer or sponsor. No one is screened by belief.
Faithful and clinical
Being Catholic does not lower the standard. Health work is done with licensed clinical partners and measured outcomes.

We are Catholic and say so plainly. We seek God’s will in every decision, we begin our work in prayer, and we lead with humility.

We serve every person with respect and compassion — no exceptions, no income tests.

We keep overhead low, publish what each season actually cost, and let sponsors see the books.

We build partnerships that reflect the body of Christ working together.

Our founder, Gayle McNorton — a lifelong teacher and mother of eight — watched children arrive at school in clothes that did not fit while their parents struggled silently. Her heart broke for those who felt out of place, forgotten or unworthy.
What began as a few clothing drives became a movement: a Christ-centered ministry that provides clothing, mentoring, athletics, health and real opportunity for lasting change.
