Dress for Dignity

Dress for Dignity · Corpus Christi

No one should feel out of place.

Quality clothing, shoes, coats and hygiene essentials for children and families — provided with privacy, choice and dignity.

How it works

A closet, not a handout line.

Families shop, free

Families choose their own items in a boutique-style setting rather than receiving a bag someone else packed. Choice is the part that restores dignity.

Community drives & partners

Schools, parishes and retailers help us collect and purchase quality items — new where it matters most: shoes, underwear, hygiene.

Winter warmth & hygiene kits

Coats, shoes and hygiene essentials distributed through churches and community centers as the season turns.

Emergency closet

On-call support for school counselors and pastors serving a family in crisis this week, not next month.

There are no income requirements and no faith requirements. You will never be asked what you believe in order to be helped.

How to help

What we need most.

  • New shoes — children’s and youth sizes, the hardest item to source used.
  • New socks, underwear and hygiene items — always new, always short.
  • Gently used clothing and coats — clean, current, no damage.
  • Gift cards or funds — so we can fill the exact gap a child has.
  • Volunteers — sorting, sizing and hosting shop days.
